Stamping with Carved Potatoes

I say "I'm not a stamper, I just draw and color" - because many Copic users are stampers. (Rubber stamps, that is.) But I have done some stamping, if you include carved potatoes. It was fun working with these simple shapes that I cut into the thickly sliced potato.

These are stamped on Crane's cards. The colors are Dr. Ph. Martin, but I think the potato starch gives it a different look - more opaque. For more information about the watercolors, including my color chart, see this post.

Unlike my other drawings, I didn't write dates on these, but I'm guessing 1976.

Duck Question

I colored this with Pentel fine point markers. It's more cartoon-y than usual for me. At the bottom left of the 14x17 paper (cropped off in this scan), I wrote, "Why do I feel like a duck on a coffee table under a dust cover?" Maybe I had recently heard someone say, "Draw what you feel."
